The signal for the start of White Turf 2019 has been given: the first entries for the 80th anniversary of the LONGINES Grand Prix of St. Moritz are already known. In all, 15 entries have arrived from the national and international horseracing scene. Most of the candidates are from Swiss stables, with last year’s winner Nimrod, so far unbeaten in St. Moritz, leading the array.
This year, on the first and second race Sundays, White Turf will also be a spectacular event stage for up-and-coming young jockeys with a pony gallop race being held over 800m for the very first time on snow. This will therefore be a premiere event for gallop ponies with a shoulder height of up to 140 centimetres.
As a new feature, the programme brochure worth CHF 5 will be given as part of every ticket bought. It contains all important information, betting explanations and the entry form for participation in the Prix d’Honneur raffle, as well as another new feature in the form of a betting voucher worth CHF 2.
